Clanfield Parks, Play and Sport
Three parks, a skate park, football and cricket pitches and a modern sports centre — the outdoor spaces that make the village good for families.
Clanfield is a good village for families, with several parks and sports facilities within the village itself, quite apart from the countryside on its doorstep.
The village parks
There are three parks in Clanfield, all with swings and children's play equipment. Peel Park has a skateboard park and football pitches, with a building housing changing rooms. There is also a park near the Sports Centre on the newer housing estate, handy for families in that part of the village.
Cricket and football
South Lane Meadow has a cricket ground, and Peel Park provides football pitches. Clanfield F.C. is the village football club, with teams for children split into year groups.
Sports and Community Centre
The Clanfield Sports and Community Centre on Endal Way opened in 2019 and is one of the village's main community hubs, alongside the older Clanfield Memorial Hall in South Lane. Both host activities, clubs and events through the year.
On the doorstep
For bigger days out, Queen Elizabeth Country Park is next to the village with trails for walking, cycling and riding — see our things to do guide.
